Dena A. Kleeman is more than just a consummate practitioner of family law. She is a professional with a deep, personal understanding of children and family life. From the beginning of her career she has worked with children on an intimate basis. Ms. Kleeman received her B.A. and M.A. in 1977 from Wesleyan University, going on to receive her certification as a teacher for developmentally delayed children from Thalians Mental Health Center, Cedars Sinai Medical Center in 1978.

Ms. Kleeman entered Stanford Law School in 1980 and graduated in 1983. She then began practicing family law, first as an associate, and then establishing her own practice in 1991. In addition, Ms. Kleeman's professional career is marked by a depth of understanding that can only come from real-life experience. Indeed, as a divorced mother of two children, she brings to her clients an intimate awareness of the most difficult family issues.

Ms. Kleeman serves as a judge pro tempore and family law settlement officer for the Los Angeles County Superior Court. She is a member of the ABA, the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar, and the Beverly Hills Bar, and served as the Chair and Co-Chair of the Century City Bar Family Law Section from 1992-1996. She served on the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Bar Association from 2003-2004, and has also served as Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Law Office Management Section since 1997.
